Lublin Tatary is nowadays the only freight station in Lublin which hump is still working. Polish State Railways from the late seventies planned to create a freight station that could serve Bogdanka coal mine. In early eighties when coal miners from Bogdanka started extraction, Lublin Tatary station was created. Although the station was very well equipped, it was never turned to full acount. Coal transportation wasn't large enough to exploit this station. Nowadays less and less trains are being formed at Lublin Tatary. It is hard to say whether something is going to change.
